Debt Management
What is a Debt Management Plan?
A debt management plan consists of negotiating lower payments with creditors on behalf of your client. The aim is to make repayments affordable for the client, reduce creditor hassle by stopping the phone calls and letters once proposals have been accepted, with the aim of taking the stress and worry away from the client, and making financial outgoings a little easier to afford on a monthly basis.
.
As part of our commitment to offer best advice and treat customers fairly, we offer customers a full range of debt solutions including IVA, bankruptcy, admin order, DRO or the most relevant solution if the client is based in Scotland.
Who can we help?
Anybody with unsecured debts such as credit cards, loans, store cards, catalogues, overdrafts etc. We can help anyone with debts over £3,000, as long as they have spare disposable monthly income of £100 or more.
The typical client we see will have unsecured debts of £20,000+ spread across 5 or more different creditors, and will have missed payments in the last 6 months. We can help even if the debt has gone to CCJ. Some clients may benefit from a debt management plan, some may be more suited to IVA and others may want to look at different options altogether. This will be determined by undertaking an in-depth fact find with your client.

Who can't we help?
We cannot negotiate lower payments on mortgages, secured loans, HP agreements or business debts to suppliers on a debt management plan. Depending on the type of debts a client has, an IVA or remortgage may be more suitable options for the client to consider.
